All of our puppies are from Champion and Hunt titled parents. We do a minimum of OFA certification on Hips, Elbows and Thyroid. We are now also doing CERF eye tests on our breeding stock. You can go to each adult dogs page to see what tests have been done on them.
The puppies are born in our living room in front of the couch in a whelping box. At 3-4 weeks they go to a larger "pen" in our addition where they have more room to run and play. At 4-5 weeks we add an open kennel to allow them to get used to going into one and it helps to teach them not to potty in it for future house training. If weather permits they begin to go outside for short periods in a larger pen close to the house. This is when they really learn to come to pup-pup.
Our puppies have tails docked and dew claws removed at 3-5 days of age and are wormed at 4 weeks and every week after. Puppies are micro chipped at 6-7 weeks with pre paid lifetime registration we fill out and register for you online. They do not get any vaccines until they are at least 7.5 weeks old as this is when the mothers natural immunity wears away and the vaccine will be effective. Puppies all go to the vets at 6 1/2 weeks for a health check up to get ready to go home. We release our puppies at 7 weeks. This is when the seeing eye foundation found that they are finished learning what they need from the mother/pack and are ready to start the human bonding. If you want to pick up your puppy at 8 weeks that is fine it will then also have its 8 week da2pp vaccine. After 8 weeks we can continue to keep and train your puppy at a nominal fee.
When your puppy goes home we require a healthy puppy check within 7 days of going home to your own vet with a copy of the label from the bottle the vaccine was drawn from sent to us, text, email or fax is fine.
Our puppies are $2000 with limited AKC registration papers. We require a
non-refundable deposit of $500 to be in picking order. We take deposits after we are sure we have a puppy for you. We will ask many questions to make sure you are ready for this breed. If you don't like to share your space this isn't the breed for you they are very people orinented and love to be one with you. Really they are that much of a touching dog.
We have had no issues with allergies in our dogs. Due I believe to following a strict vaccine protocol, using NuVet Supplements and only feeding Nutri Source dog food. We use and strongly advise using a crate for not only house training but for the life of the dog for several reasons we will go over with you.
We feed only Nutri Source Small/Medium Breed puppy food to our Vizsla puppies, we use NuVet Plus Vitamin Supplement, and require these to be continued to keep our guarantee valid. We do not use or recommend using oral treatments for fleas and ticks. Only topical or collar treatments on our dogs/puppies. The use of them voids any type of warrenty on our dogs. The use of Plaque Off by Proden aids in keeping the teeth clean to avoid sedation and annual dentals, along with lots of natural bones to chew on.
